Hello new to this was looking for some help my wife has a 63 plate focus 1 litre eco boost and i have 1 litre turbo sport my wifes engine light come on and said it was a bank 1 cencor we have had knock sencor and lamber sencor changed twice with ford parts and light still on nothing wrong with the way car drives just light staying on.taken it to ford told us bank 1 sencor needs changing told them both been changed twice and wanted to charge £115 ph and now same happing to my focus ford not very helpful can anyone help pls

I have seen this problem a few times before. In these cases the problem was caused by low quality fuel. On these cars I solved the problem by updating the PCM software to the latest version and told the owners to use better quality fuel.

The 1.0 ECOboost is very sensitive for quality and octane rating of the fuel. Sometimes even the brand of fuel can make a huge difference.
