ECU Fuse location?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I've had the Check Engine Light on for a while, done quite a lot of research but in mean time just want to get rid of it for upcoming MOT

Was looking to remove ECU fuse to clear memory but I can't find it, there isn't a particular fuse labelled ECU

Can anyone tell me where it is and how it's labelled? Thanks

get your mot done before may and you wont need to worry about engine light on. new rules about engine light dont come in until then.

Thanks for info didn't realise that cheers But even so do you know if there is an ECU fuse for my model?

I took out No30 Engine Control Model marked E it cut out the engine but Check Engine Light remained on.

Whatabout No35 Engine Management Module/valves/solenoids? Or No43 Electronic Modulebattery supply?

Saw somewhere that it's the F26 10A in the Auxiliary Box but when I look for it the fuse seems to be missing? Someone may have forgotten to put it back in?

Why Ford doesn't just label a fuse as ECU is beyond me

PS I just disconnected the negative from the battery and left it off for 3mins but when connected all back up and started the car the ***** Check Engine Light is still on, why so?

Im going to start getting nightmares about this light

the fault that puts the mil light on is stored in pcm memory that doesnt require battery to keep. why dont you buy a cheap code reader , see why the light is on and if required clear the code. the light will come back on  pretty instantly though depending on fault.
