Tonkatts
Hello, I'm new to this but wanted to seek some advice. I have recently bought a 2014 Titanium Navigator from a Ford Dealer (Got 3 months warranty). It's a 1.6 TDCi and have noticed a terrible vibration in the passenger door panel when driving. I have tried to listen where it could be coming from but have no idea. Any thoughts? Should I take it back and ask them to check it out? Luke4efc
6 months warranty by law actually (unless you've owned it for 3 months already). I guess you could see what they say, but I doubt it's covered under warrenty as it doesn't exactly make the vehicle unfit for purpose. TomsFocus
Are you sure it's in the door panel? I had an annoying vibration on the passenger side for a couple of weeks... Turned out to be my sunglasses in the overhead console... Also worth checking things in the glovebox and door pocket. If it definitely is in the door panel, you could ask them to check but I doubt they will for free in all honesty.
Tonkatts
No, only 3 months warranty came with the car. I've worked out it's the window. When you wind the window right down it doesn't make a shred if noise but as soon as you out it back up, hey Presto. So you think this wouldn't be covered under the warranty? The warranty is in addition to, and cannot relinquish your consumer rights. Phil21185
Open the passenger door, pop the little cover off the end of the door where the door card meets the window. There's a Torx bolt in there, iirc T25. Willing to bet this is loose. Had the same thing on my driver's side, same year and spec. Look on my build thread if you want a piccy :)) EDIT: just read about you thinking it's the window. Never mind then! But perhaps worth a check anyway.
