Need some help wiring new headlights Mk2 Focus

Featured Replies

So i recently purchased some angel eye headlights that require some extra wiring as appose to just plug and play. The instructions state that the red and black wires on the back of my headlights need to be connected to my vehicle sidelights in order for the white LEDs to work. Could anyone help me out as i took a look at my vehicles headlight connector and couldn't manage to figure out what color is my live and ground side light wire. If anyone knows the color codes so to speak as in what each color wire is for that would be greatly appreciated!

Sidelight live is green / orange and ground is black.

For further reference-

The dipped lights also uses the same live wire and high beam live wire is green / black.

Basically as long as you tap the live feed from the coloured wire of the pair running to the original sidelight bulb holder and ground to the black one you will be just fine.
