Rear Parking Sensor problem

Featured Replies

Hi

My rear parking sensors packed in a couple of months ago .  I get a continuous beep for a few seconds on putting the car in reverse indicating the fault. One of the sensors has stopped ticking but I replaced it and the new sensor doesn't tick in this location either.   I've also tried changing the control module but that didn't make any difference either.. What should I try next?

Best wishes

Mark

Have you tried swapping the new sensor with one of the working  originals  just to see if it is ok and not a new dud sensor ,or there is a issue in the wiring  from that particular sensor fitting

Hi -yes I tried swopping the sensor and it works OK plus an auto-electrician tested the wiring for me and told me it was all good. I am wondering if the wiring is all good though unless someone has another explanation.

Hi. My parking sensors on my mk4 Mondeo stopped working (long beep then nothing). The diagnostics reader showed 1 front & 2 rear sensors were not working. I have replaced them but still no joy. What could it be? Is there a way to reset them or reboot the module?
