Maybe a silly question .... but when getting in car at night is there no lighting helping me to find where the ignition switch is located in order to inset key ?

Do you mean there are no interior lights or the ignition switch is not illuminated?

I don't think I've ever seen an illuminated ignition barrel - the interior lights should be enough?  Tbh I also thought they were all keyless start now lol.

The two interior lights in the roof do come on, but they do not help with finding the ignition barrel/switch; which is not illuminated.

It used to be fairly common on the more luxury end of the market can't say I've seen it on any cars of late though.

keyless start is normally on Titianuim and above, think you can have it as an extra on Zeneca but it would be pricey I reckon

I think it's one of those things that you will get used to over time. Have you had a car with an illuminated ignition barrel?

Not really sure; possibly, but, like a lot of things in  life, you get used to it one way or the other and then it is taken for granted.

As mentioned by others it is not an option on the Focus.  I had an illuminated ignition barrel ring on my last Focus which I retrofitted, it was really handy.  It connected up to cars dome light.
