brembo discs and pads

Featured Replies

has any one on hear had any experience with fakes ?

ive just recieved mine and was looking at them and went to thier site and acording to them the pads are supposed to have the legal details on them but mine only have the name and on the disc box supposed to have a qr code but not on mine where the product details are no qr code. im a bit suspicious

Where did you buy them from? I bought mine from Euro Car Parts and have been fine (although I don't recall seeing a qr code, but then I didn't look for one)

i got them from ebay. im a bit distrusting and thought id check them to see if genuine or not. you can scan the qr code and it should tell you if genuine or not

the pads are supposed to have the legally required technical information on them but they only have the name brembo.want to make sure before i fit them

Not sure I'd buy items that my life depended upon from eBay...

Had a look at the Brembo pads box. There is a QR, on the white box side. All other sides of the box are red, there need to be a sticker Made in Italy with car models applicable. On the pads you must have E90 stamp. Do not use what you have, just return them and get your money back.

I did burn myself on e-bay a few times, so never again.

Euro Car Parts have a sale on 45% off brakes code is pat75

Depends who the seller is, I've never had problems with buying brake parts via ebay, but I am careful and not necessarily buy the cheapest if it looks suspicious in any way (eg: too cheap).

John, who was the seller? Got a link?

That pad writing does look a bit weird tbh, but the box looks alright.

The E11 on there shows they were made in Germany, not in the UK (E1) so that might be why the info is printed differently?

plenty of ***** holes in your family then?

Things look OK in this case, however when checking parts I'd not put too much faith in the box to tell you if its genuine or not. There was a case a few years back where fake VW parts were being shipped in genuine VW boxes. They got caught out when it was realised all the boxes were labelled "Wasserpumpe" (water pump) despite the parts not being water pumps!

That doesn't leave a lot!

What would you buy from eBay?
