Foot Well Lighting Bulbs? Which ones?

Featured Replies

Hi, im looking at changing the colour of the light bulbs that are in the passenger an drivers foot wells. But does anyone know which bulbs and whee I can get them from, for maybe blue, red or orange colour lighting bulbs.

Thanks

Look through the forum someone has already done it and it looks fantastic. however the bulbs were about £60 and are not easy to find. Have a browse i think its under Footwell lighting or something about 5 weeks ago.

The person who did the work emailed me and said

"I used 9 ‘pin’ LED lights instead, which give a full 180 degree coverage across the entire footwell and match the colour of the car’s existing ambient lighting. Also the LED’s use about half as much power as a standard bulb.

The cockpit now looks great - it has a much more ‘premium’ feel. I still can’t believe Ford don’t offer this as standard, the normal white bulbs are just a bit too bright really.

The LED’s plug directly into the existing bulb holders, so there is no need splice into the wiring loom. The footwell lights still come on and off with the courtesy light.

Fitting takes about ¾ hour in total. I used to work with electronics and have enough LED’s for 5 or 6 cars. The parts cost me £68 per car and I’m happy to pass them on to forum members for the same amount if anyone is interested and wants to upgrade their car."

But when I look in the footwell I see one exposed clear/white bulb, cant that just be replaced?!
