vinnyvangough
Hi there Unfortunately i dont anything much will drop in on that wiring loom. The best bet would be to buy a 1.8 Zetec powered Escort that has failed MOT or something for £200-£400 and swap all the engine, wiring loom, suspension and brakes and exhaust from that and put straight into yours. ricky090
2 things more really a mate has two engines in hes garage a xr2i 1.6 cvh efi engine and a normal 1.6 cvh engine would any of these be a easy fit
vinnyvangough
You would have to alter one mount i believe and it would be more work than changing to a zetec. The zetec is a lot better engine all round. The CVH is old hat now

The CVH is old hat now so 2 drop a zetec in do i have to change the hole loom or just the engine bay my engine i have in the car is efi so i was guessing it would be just the case of changeing the lump and a few wires i really need as much info as possibe as im alredy bidding on a 2.0 zetec whtch has already been in a fiesta im getting the ecu and engine bay loom will i need anything else to get it running my car is a r reg if that means anything to anyone
vinnyvangough
Should only have to change the engine loom
ricky090
Should only have to change the engine loom i might be beeing stupid but am i right in thinking that the ecu will just plug in where mine is and the back loom is a plug on the bulk head has about 7 or 8 pins whould i have to change the drive sharfts and as i have an efi engine will the feul pump be good enough
