Rear wash wipe

Hi I have an 05 new shape focus and the rear wiper is operating intermitantly.I put the wiper on and it moves only partly and then stops and then moves partly after a few seconds.

Any help would be most helpful

    this could be a fault with the rear wiper relay, check that it is fitted correctley.
