It says registered 12/09/01

egistered that means when either a dealer or new buyer registered it not the cars build date you have indicators in the bumper yes? if so its a mk1 built before april 2001 go here put reg in and it will tell you the build date of the car thats what matters not the registered date http://www.etis.ford...B7848F.dulv1364 my car was built in march 2001 and registered in april 2001

the mk1 finished production in october 2001 then the mk1.5 took over till 2004 so youres was built in september 2001 making it the last run of mk1s but due to the date its a 51 plate the mk1.5 had the bumper indicators removed and were part of the headlights whicjh is why they are different personally the mk1 was the better looking car not being biased but the 1.5 had bump strips all over the bumpers instead of just completely color coded the grill etc were different as well amoung other things the engines mechanicals suspension etc etc are all the same just makes a difference whn ordering lights and bulbs etc that youmake sure you choose mk1

the mk1 has the indicators in the bumper the 1.5 doesnt have them and never has that was the faceklift to remove them and fit bump strips to the bumper instaed change the grills etc simply put you cant without a lot of hassle the lights are a slightly different shape you can buy clear or smoked indicatrors for the bumper easily and why would you want to change the lights to them anyway they arent the best looking you can get aftermarket ones, its not as simple as extending the wiring and fitting those lights as they dont fit right and the grill etc would all have to be romoved to the rubbish looking one post-8800-126833144006_thumb.jpg thats a mk1.5

My first Focus was a silver one. I put silver indicators on the front and on the side repeaters and it improved the look brilliantly, really tidied it up! Just make sure you put Silvatec bulbs in!
