I have just come back from a Ford dealership that has told me it would be £500 to replace the aircon condenser. I have found the condensers going for about £70 on the web. The repair cost seems a bit steep - can anyone confirm or advise please? Is there that much labour involved in changing the condenser?

The quote includes seals at £19 and a regas at £76.

Thanks in anticipation.........

There is a bit of dismantling involved

Get a quote from an independent air con specialist.
Make sure you obtain parts with warranties and or oem (Ford)
