So, six years later (!) I've bought the 150bhp, and thinking of the Superchips remap. Did you feel the increase in torque? Any change in mpg? TIA

Are there any tricks to get headlights set up right? The bulb holder mechanism for the H7 dipped beam bulb seems to be a terrible design and far too prone to problems. When I first got my 2010 model, the headlamp beams were incorrectly positioned despite the bulb being correctly installed, indeed there is only one way the bulbs fit in. It failed the first MOT I put it through on headlights and the garage sorted it out. I just changed the left bulb and although everything appears correct, the holder fits correctly in the grooves but the light beam us incorrect again, I just can't make sense of it.

Hi all! And a little heater fan problem...

Well I thought that Ford had sold off the Aston division many years ago now, but you must have a special !! Think you need to amend your profile, and also you have a Fiesta Mk6 here in the UK. The fan blower resistor pack is an easy fix on these, just have a look on eBay for the part. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395169574851? -

Almost certainly the resistor pack. Although I don't know how easy to change, or where Ford have hidden it ! -

Think you will need a new one. That looks in very poor condition.

Surely it can only be strut length being too short, or spring length/rating. Even if the drop link mounting on the strut is in the wrong position, I cannot see it altering ride height, but may account for the banging. -
Ford Fusion 2009 Leak in footwells - pollen filter?
Paulkp replied to AndyH106's topic in Ford Fusion Club
To get my wiper arms off, on both my Fiesta and Fusion, I needed a puller ! There may be markings on the screen for when you refit the wiper arms to ease the alignment. The clips on either end of the plastic scuttle panel look like this: https://vehicleclips.co.uk/collections/ford-fiesta-trim-clips-fixings-and-fasteners-3/products/bumper-arch-lining-clips-for-ford-1039463-4663587 As my drive is under trees, I do mine every year to clear out leaves and crud ! -

Could you take some photos of the parts and suspension items so we can try and understand what is happening ? -
Well at least a few have found a good home 😉

Hi, was just wondering what MPG you actually get from a Ford Fiesta 1.25 2009 the highest I’ve got was 54.7 which I thought was quite impressive and the speed limits were mainly 30 to 40 but I was really hypermiling, just wondering if anyone had got a better mpg than that

Mine had a leak test and the condenser was cracked, had it replaced (not overly cheap in 2024) but it blows nice and cold -
Hi, just joined. I'm really enjoying my Fiesta 5 Ghia, purchased as a runaround due to a change in driving requirements - but it really is a supermini, no worries crossing half the country in it, also reminds me a little bit of the cars I drove back in the good old days. It's a whole lot better than my Ford Prefect though - it has a heater! On that subject - just recently the 4 speed heater fan only works on max. The only thread I've seen that seems to relate is a very old Mondeo post which says its the resistor pack behind the glove box and an easy fix. Does anyone know if it's the same for the Fiesta 5? Thanks!

Hi, just signed up so hi all. Had my mondeo mk4 1.6tdci for about a year now. Today k went to get the air con regassed. It didn’t work. Machine drained and refilled no problem but air was ambiant. Told me to drive it a bit to see if that’s what it was but alas no. Took it back and when they looked the compressor clutch plate had come off and sitting on the under tray. anyone else had this? I’ve seen come clutch pullies for around £70 but wondered if it may just be the bolt has worked its way loose and can be put back on. any help would be appreciated

Hi, It might be best to start a new thread for your fault as this one is quite old and messy now. The condensate drain is for the air conditioning only. There should not be any condensation created with just the heater on. If the leak happens with just the heater on (not air conditioning as well) then that's likely to be coolant leaking from the heater matrix. Can you confirm whether your Fiesta is Mk6 or Mk7? 2008 is the changeover year so we can't tell from that alone.

Yes it used regularly. It ran on Friday and was okay. Tried to open it today and it's dead. Just tried to jump start it but nothing. I plan to get it straight to a Ford dealer if the AA get it running tomorrow. I think you are correct, that said, Evans Halshaw Ford had it for 2 days in February and charged me £225 to look at a battery issue. They told me a new battery would solve it. It hasn't. Back to Ford it goes.
-
If the car is used regularly then it sounds like a module not shutting down properly after locking. Ford dealership is probably best to diagnose that. It'll either need a software update or a module replaced.

Sorry, I still can't understand what's physically happening here. The ARB shouldn't be under tension on a flat road. It only gets tensioned by body roll when the car leans to one side. You can unbolt the drop links both sides and do a short test drive without the ARB connected to rule it out. Just take care not to push it too hard into any tight bends. If we can rule out the ARB, then maybe the springs are getting weaker as they heat up. Are they definitely Ford ones? No chance of them being fakes in Ford boxes? -
I wonder, may I ask what I should look out for on the FORScan device? Of course if you haven’t had this issue before please do not worry!

Oh okay, thanks for this tip and images. I will give it a try

I have this problem but I’ve noticed if I don’t use my heater the leak stops and the rear footwell drys . I believe it’s to do with a condensation pipe being blocked . I don’t know how to find the pipe to clean it .
