Are there any tricks to get headlights set up right? The bulb holder mechanism for the H7 dipped beam bulb seems to be a terrible design and far too prone to problems.

When I first got my 2010 model, the headlamp beams were incorrectly positioned despite the bulb being correctly installed, indeed there is only one way the bulbs fit in. It failed the first MOT I put it through on headlights and the garage sorted it out.

I just changed the left bulb and although everything appears correct, the holder fits correctly in the grooves but the light beam us incorrect again, I just can't make sense of it.

    Let the garage sort it out for you again, BUT this time, watch what they do! You'll learn much more by this than reading paragraphs of stuff on, 'how to...'.
