Julia, I think a bell-curve graph suggests that mature years/experience count in your favour up to about 80; then they are used against you, hence hefty premium increases.

New Covid vaccine - would you take it?

And I strongly agree with you on that point. We just hold different ones!😀

    Fiesta S1600

But deserving of an honourable mention in the "Thread Resurrection" awards? Joking aside, looking back in retrospect to the start of this thread, the 1600S etc, have turned out to be a better long term prospect than the then new Ecoboost.

New Covid vaccine - would you take it?

I personally strongly disagree on that point, but I think individuals are entitled to their own views, unless of course you live in Scotland 🤣

    Forscan

Did you also change the 'clock spring' ? A Ford dealer will not activate CC on a car that was not originally built with it for safety / legal reasons.

New Covid vaccine - would you take it?

Pleasing that this thread has been quiet for a while. I mentioned on the "Things I don't like" thread that my Mrs had returned from a few days with a friend, complete with Covid, so now we've both had it (again!). Felt pretty cr*p for a week, but we seem to be on the mend, and I'm sure it would be a lot worse without vaccination. The same thing happened a couple of years back, same friend (who didn't test positive either time), and I was puzzling over why. Only answer I could come up with was change of behaviour. We, and our circle, are by no means paranoid over Covid but are careful to avoid crowded spaces, etc. On these occasions the "girls"(ha ha!) seem to have relaxed their usual caution and eaten in busy Italian pizzerias, etc. The explanation as to why the Mrs got it and not our friend, is probably simply down to the Mrs being classed as vulnerable because some of her meds are immuno-suppressant. Ironically she had a message from the NHS that she was now eligible for a further booster, which she'll certainly be having once the recommended period from testing positive (28 days) has elapsed. So, just a heads up really, it's still out there and sensible precautions are a good idea, and do get your jabs when offered.

No need to use FORScan to reset the BMS. It will probably be method 1 for your car.

  13. Well after searching again, it seems that my memory may be confused 🙄 Here are 3 threads that give good information, but I conclude that dynamic parking lines are only possible with genuine Ford cameras. https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/99526-reversing-camera/page/5/#comment-909677 https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/125974-oem-rear-view-camera/#comment-880746 https://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/123112-oem-ford-fiesta-mk8-rear-camera/#comment-863882

    Forscan

I have fitted a new steering wheel with cruise control on my 62 1.0 Focus. I am trying to find somebody who can program it for me. I live in Bexleyheath, Kent. I would be very happy to pay for the service. I have tried numerous local garages, not one of them uses Forscan. I don't want to got to a dealer unless as a last resort. I'm not confident to do this myself, I bought a reader, downloaded the Forscan software but bottled it when I started to read the instructions! Does anybody live within 25 miles or so and can do this for me?
  15. Hi All, I have finally bitten the bullet & purchased a cable (arrives tomorrow), and downloaded Forscan, from the links found on this forum. A few queries, First, is there an idiots guide to using Forscan in plain language for someone who is not very computer literate? Second, How do I go about altering the charging rate to get the battery % higher (currently sitting at 12.3 volts after standing overnight)? Third, How do I use Forscan to check if the aircon needs a re-gas? This is the first time I have ever got involved with diagnostic machines, although I have been working on cars, buses & lorries for many years (the Ford retail dealer when I started in the trade were selling new 105E Anglias, Cortina Mk 1, and those horrible Mk 4 Zephyrs & Zodiacs at the time). Thanks for any help, I'm sure there will be more questions in future.

    P0191 error

There is no physical inertia switch on the Mk7.5 Fiesta. It's done through the engine ECU on modern Fords. If the fuel supply has been cut off due to an accident (or a perceived accident) there is a sequence of key cycles to follow to restart it. Should be similar to this Focus video -

I haven't heard of FORScan can you suggest where to have it done?
  21. Hi, I am looking to replace the damaged armrest on my 2015 MK3, which looks like this: I came across an extendable version as shown below, which is also from a Focus MK3. Does anyone know if this will fit? Also, how difficult it is to remove and replace this? Many thanks for any advice!
