Mk3 Focus Zetec very low - are Blue springs Fords oem sporty versions?

Featured Replies

My sis has a Focus Mk3, Zetec model, the car is very low, can't get your fist between tyre and wheel arch. I noticed there's Blue coloured springs on the rear. Are these likely to be Fords optional sporty springs or Ford oem springs or are they more likely to be aftermarket springs fitted by a previous owner? Can anyone tell me if Ford do indeed fit Blue coloured springs?

I've seen other Zetec models and none of them are a slow as this car.

Original Ford springs are black. These springs are marked with painted coloured dots to identify the springs.

As an option Ford offers the Eibach (Pro-Kit) lowering springs. The Eibach springs are black with white text (brand and part number of the spring).

I have never seen blue springs factory fitted on a Ford so the springs will most likely be aftermarket. Ford Racing springs are blue but I have never seen these in real life.
