Clutch confusion

Featured Replies

The missus towed my MG ZT a few weeks ago and burnt out the clutch on the CC.

I replaced the clutch and slave cylinder, bled he system and all worked ok, for 7 days, about 300 Miles. Then creeping along changed from 1st to 2nd and bang no clutch.

On idle, sounds like. Clutch is catching.

Towed it home and stripped it to find the slave cylinder had collapsed. Replaced this, took the clutch off to check for damage, all ok.

Reassembled, bled about 20 times, pedal is had and no loss of fluid, but put into first or reverse and you hear a slight whirring but no drive, shift up the gears and the whirring gets louder.

Brakes were really spongy, so bled them going from closest to farthest then the clutch again, using three press and hold method, also tried a bleed bottle, pedal firms up, but same results with the whirring.

Any ideas please?
