Who's running the highest mileage motors?

Featured Replies

How high can these Ford engines go?  And what issues have you encountered on your way?

Currently, my 1.6 tdci is on 157,000 and on the original turbo but then i have no DPF.  No  real major issues, apart from  loads of blue smoke on a cold morning for the last 3 years, injector seals replaced, electric window button, clutch,  and glow plugs twice.  Discs & pads all round, two new calipers but that's about it.

My last couple of Mondeo 2ltr Tdci' s have done 195k 175k and the last one was 235 k all on original clutches and DPFs the only DPF problems where with the sensor hoses burning through

My car has around 118600 miles

Haven't really done much mechanical work on it however I did get the injectors all reconditioned as I suspected one of them was leaking. Other issue I had was the brake fluid pipe broke during MOT inspection so changed the broken pipe along with the other side for peace of mind and put new brake fluid in. Apart from that runs nicely. I noticed today though I could sometimes hear a tapping sound (which sounds like glass tapping). Hopefully it ain't the rear glass coming off. Might be the seat belt or the can of de-icer I have in the boot.
