Hi, I have a '64 plate Focus Navigator.

I'm pretty new to focus so when I read "mark 1, mark 2" etc I would like to know what mine is and what the differences are.

There just the newer/ updated models of the Focus.  Mk1 Focus went from around late 90's - 2004/2005.  Mk 2 was 05 - 08 then the mk2.5 had a facelift and ran from 08-2011/12. mk 3 2012 - 2015.  Then another facelift for the 3.5 which is the most recent and will run until the mk4 in 2019.     My years may be a bit out but that's roughly it!

mk3.5 started around a build date of mid 2014 i think

So I either have a 3 or a 3.5.

See there any obvious visual clues I can spot?

Does it have the bigger front grill and if it has front fog lights are they round or rectangular?
Small grill and round lights - mk3
Large grill and rectangular lights - 3.5
