2006 Focus 1.4 Not Starting

Featured Replies

Posting for a friend...

Last night we had to jump the car and we took it for a spin, the odometer was reading dashes and the speedometer wasn't working (the rev, fuel and temp was working).
After restarting the car the Odometer showed the miles and speedo started working.

Today it wouldn't start again, so we jumped it and left it for awhile, surprise surprise it died again.

We are both newbies, any advice? We did check the ignition fuses that was recommended to us

thanks

maybe time to fit a new battery i think and see how you get on

Have to agree, get a new battery! Europarts, use their discount codes online to click and collect. I got mine for £35 (1.6 petrol)

most likely the battery. but you can't really rule out the alternator on the basis of what you have told us so far
