Front passenger seat stuck! Pics of the problem included

Featured Replies

Hi,

So the passenger seat wont move forward and back and I know why but just don't know how to fix it. The metal part that is supposed to be pushed down when we pull the seat lever has actually ended up on top of the mechanism somehow. I hope the pictures make things clearer.

So my question is, will I need to bring the car to a mechanic or can it be fixed at home?

Thanks!

I have the exact same problem on the Fiesta! Did you get it solved?

We had this on an older fiesta, maybe 2010/11 reg. Were told there was a cable and locking mech (something along those lines) which had broken.

Was quoted £85 + vat ( I think.... it was 8 or 9 years ago) but it was ultimately fixed under warranty at a main dealer.
