Been looking at the all new Focus on the Ford site.

If I've understood the position correctly you can only have a diesel auto and the most powerful petrol engine is 125ps.

Who was it who said of the Model T "you can have it in any colour you want.........."?

Diesel  (1.5L EcoBlue) can be specced with auto or 6 speed manual transmission as far I can see.  I suspect the available options will grow. 

You're right, of course. I didn't make myself clear. What I intended to say was that if you wanted an auto, you had to have a diesel.

Be interesting to see what other options become available.

1.5 ecoboost supply is a bit constrained at the moment so being prioritised for the Fiesta ST. I think it will be available in the focus October time once the Bridgend factory is at full capacity.

I assume this was rhetorical but it was Henry Ford himself.

He said this as they discovered that black japanning was at first the quickest colour enamel to cure - he was all about efficiency to keep cost down.
