Focus error codes , safe to drive?

Featured Replies

Hi 3 codes due to engine light on , po234, po42f, po490 all seem to be power train related , is it safe to drive until I can get to the garage? Light has been on for 2 days , no loss of power or non noticed , haven’t been racing around either, any thoughts ?

googling the code - second character being Zero not letter o.  First is turbo pressure high, others are EGR valve.

Thing is with these codes, they have no dates on, it might be that one is old and others are recent. When the light comes on, you need to read the codes, then clear them all, then drive the car, re-read codes to see what reappears.

Recently on my bothers car the engine light came on. There were loads of codes. I cleared them all, drove it, only the EGR codes came back on. he has carried on driving it because he can't be bothered to do anything else about it.  A fault code being logged does not neccessarily mean engine light always comes on at that point in time.
