Rear door lock

Anyone any idea how I can get the rear door open on my 2008 focus I had noticed it wasn't unlocking everytime but because it doesn't get used much I put off looking at it now it wont unlock at all. Ive got the door card off and the metal panel inside but cant see a way too trip it open.

    Hiya, I have the same issue. 

    After unscrewing the metalic panel what did you do next to safely take it off in terms of the glass? 

    Some info here might help:
