Total loss of power

Featured Replies

Hi new to this site. I have a 2008 2.0tdci Estate. Just lately I have come out to start the car and its been totally dead. Try the key a few times and suddenly it all lights up "Power restored" radio needs code putting in so has lost all power feed. It then starts up ok and no problems for weeks and then same come out it may have power but radio has lost code so its lost power while standing. Getting more and more regular now. Can any one tell me where I should start looking to rectify this annoying fault.. Cheers

have you checked the battery connections to see if there both tight, also if it`s the original ford battery in the car it may be time to think about getting it replaced as 10yrs old now

i cant see it being the battery itself. if the battery was dead enough for to be no power, it couldn't suddenly recover to start the car just from turning the key a few times, it would need recharging first.
