Just wanting some advice please. I have a mondeo 2007new shape. Lately my stereo unit CD 6000 intermitently switches off and on. Sometimes the date and time appear with dashes on startup and then all reappears after a while. All this only happens when driving. I have changed the head unit and had the earths checked plus the wiring loom without success. The body control module has had all faults cleared also. I only left with possibility that there may be something wrong with instrument cluster. The weird thing is once the stereo switches off I can tap the dash and it comes on again. Only found out through frustration. Any help and advice would be most appreciated. Cheers

    Interesting enough also when the Date and Time are showing up in dashes --- --- --- etc the time and date return also once the car is switched turned off. 

    This is driving me crazy to be honest. At least I know it is not a faulty head unit as the time and date for example is supplied from the instrument cluster I believe.

    Look forward to your replies or further ideas of what how to fix this issue. Cheers
