Mk2 focus 1.6

Featured Replies

Hi all new here have  not got a clue how this work. Lol

I have a focus 1.6 Mk2 and when I am driving it a d it get warmed up the revs shoot up to 8000rpm and speedo shoots up to 140mph and will only be doing 30mph the radio volume goes loud when it does it too. Oh a d everyone it does it I lose power and car bunny hops about. Is there a. Easy fix or is it buggered. Thank you in advance Tim.

Based on the supplied user information you have a 2003 focus. A 2003 Focus is a focus MK1.5.

All symptons point to a defective VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). This is a common problem on the focus MK1/MK1.5. The VSS is located on the top of the gearbox. Changing the VSS should solve the problem.

We appear to have duplicate posts, I alluded to the same conclusions.
Queried the model mk as well.
