Can anyone help with the problem I am having with my sat nav brought a new sd card as it kept saying the same thing put in new sd card still having an issue any help would be appreciated as I'm getting nowhere with the Ford dealer and I can't find anything online have hit a brick wall

I brought the f5 card 

Looks like sync 1. Not sure if the F cards work with it?

Did you get the card from the dealer?

Do you still have your old card? Did it look like this:

needs v card, not f card. normaly when it gives that error it is either the sd card is not fully inserted, give it an extra push in with a screwdriver. or the screen is faulty.

It didn't have a card in there when u got the car I brought the card off ebay just to Check it as I rang the Ford dealer an they wanted 130 just for the card an I asked them what card I needed an that's the one they said how much are the v cards 

I have just been on ford Website and put my vin number in and it says my car doesn't have sync what does that mean, 

nothing. you havent got sync. 

ford sell v cards for about £85 , be wary of ebay as alot are copies that dont work.

That's odd. That looks like a sync 1.1 screen? Did some of the 4" LCDs not come with sync equipped??

I'm currently selling a V4.1 card on ebay as part of a job lot with my old sync 1.1 screen. If you want I'll seperate it out from the listing and you can have it for £15 posted?

It definitely works as I used it in my car for the past year!

Edit: I should say that card I'm selling won't be as up to date as the one Ian linked to and is western Europe only. It's the one in the picture above actually lol!

Non sync Bluetooth/voice uses same screen type but don't think  it's interchangable with a sync based system .the nav system/ screen originaly came out in 2011 before sync.

Stevens profile indicates a 2011 focus.

They all use the v card. 

Yeah my 2014 used that v card above but that was sync 1.1.

I am actually selling a whole sync 1.1 system.

Edit: except the fascia and the cd player which have just sold on eBay lol!

Thank you guys been a great help think I will sell the f5 card first then buy the v card if you send me the item number on ebay I will have a look am I right you can't update the cards yourself and just have to buy a new one with the updates? 

Yeah that's right. The cards are encrypted.
