Hi all, 

I'm fairly new here and recent purchased the latest fiesta ST line, I hear alot of things around tuning - in terms that you can boost the power of the engine (bluefin) 

1 question - what are the engine differences between 100ps, 125, 140? I might be a bit old school but it seems too good to be true that I can jump from 100ps to 140 just by plugging in a remap.

Any thoughts?

Be careful saying you have an ST instead of ST-Line, that can annoy a few people.

I'm not sure what maps are available for the mk8 yet, nor what the engine differences are. However it is probably the same story that it was with the Mk7. The engines were pretty much the same, but just the map changed. There were some minor differences like the head gasket and turbo was different on the 140ps (not bigger, but had different model no.). But yes you could go from 100ps to 140 through a remap (just as Ford does, just not an official map), but you risked gearbox damage as the IB5 box was't rated to much more power/torque. These new 6 speeds they're fitting shouldn't have that issue.

I know mountune do the "Ford approved" remaps for 125, 140 but don't offer the same for the 100ps, I didn't understand why - although, from what you said it kinda makes sense
