Coolant colour does it matter?

Hi all

I’ve just had a coolant leak and had my thermostat housing replaced but have now noticed my coolant looks more orange at the top than red/pink. I emailed the garage and they advised me that the top looks more orange as the  tank is thinner here and that all coolant is ‘orange’ (picture attached). 

I carry the Halfords OAT reddish colour Anti-freeze in my car in case I ever need to top up, and wonder if this is suitable to mix? 

 

I kmow you shouldnt mix green with red, but wondering if red / orange are ok?
