Strange issue

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

My car has a bit of a strange issue at the moment. Since I had the AC work done, the clutch pedal has become very spongy and the gears vague when the car gets hot. Its fine when cold, and I wondered if there was possibly air in the hydraulic system but I don't know how this would've occurred as I've had no clutch/brake work? Also, and this has happened for a lot longer than the clutch issue, my steering is odd and becomes heavier when turning right than left. Wondering if it needs new power steering fluid or something as the pump doesn't make any strange noises and there's no visible leaks as the fluid hasn't dropped. Any ideas?

When was the last time the fluid was changed in both power steering and brakes? And are you losing any fluid/having to top it up?

Therein lies the issue, I don't know. I'm assuming it's an easy diy job, if someone could tell me how to do both fluid changes? It's not losing any fluid.
