Hi - some time ago i saw a link, might have been on this forum, which gave information on exact date of manufacture, what factory, added extras, paint colour etc.... just from VIN number

Can't for the life of me find it - i know it wasn't the ETIS site, anyone any ideas?

    Thanks for the replies guys, but it was definitely something i didnt register for. I put in the VIN, it said what factory in Germany, what extras were specified, when it came off the production line. If/When i find it ill post it here, for info.

    A while back ETIS showed all of the info from the reg. no and it did not require signup and login. Some months ago it seems Ford altered it so it now only shows very very limited info unless you register and login. You do not need to pay to signup and view the full long spec of the car (where made, whether it has a leather steering wheel, painted brake calipers, tinted glass  etc). It is annoying you need to sign in now to view this whereas you did not need to sign in before as I can never remember my password

    actually .. if you were seeing all of that info and it was not using ETIS, perhaps it was some other site piggybacking off ETIS and maybe that's why Ford altered ETIS to stop other sites doing that
