Broken Horn Mk2 Focus

Featured Replies

Just looking for some advise. My horn has stopped working. First it was intermittent now not functioning at all. Last time it was used the sound was "pitchy" all over the place.

I have tried a new 15amp fuse and also tried another relay still not working. Is it safe to say i need the horn completely replaced?

Have you checked the connectors at the horn itself? They could be corroded.

Did you try connect wires directly to 12v? Also often horn stop working because of water inside.

That's not a bad idea. I'll remove it tonight. I have a 12v psu which i''ll wire it to. Ill also clean the unit.

Could just keep trying it...my mk3 horn only works after about 50 presses if it's not been used for a while.  I should start beeping more bad drivers to keep it working!

Sounds like yours probably is knackered with the changing pitch beforehand though.
