Ignition barrel fuse blown

Hi Guys,

This afternoon the wife was adjusting the steering wheel position and it blew the 20amp ignition barrel fuse, I had a look at the column wiring and couldn't see anything obviously loose.

Anybody else had this issue? Wondering if I need look further into it, maybe see if it happens again.

    most wires break inside and it don't show externally...  maybe these caused the fault?

     

    just like folding mirrors, moving the column every drive is a very stupid idea bound to break things...  I turned off mirror and column adjustment as soon as I got the car… they are convenience settings... mainly convenient for merc'c coffers
