HelpNeeded78
I know stuff is difficult to diagnose on a forum but does anyone’s have any idea what might make a strange whine kind of noise from a car under acceleration, mainly in first gear from stationary? Its a similar kind of noise to that produced whenever you spin your wheels but the wheels are spinning.
TomsFocus
We're going to need a bit more info there really. Which model and engine? Does the sound cone from the wheel area or more central around the engine? Is it a whine or a squeal, as wheelspins are more of a squeal than a whine lol. I was thinking a hidden supercharger 😝 To be realist could be a belt. As the engine revs increase the belt increases in speed so could be linked to that. Check that the timing or auxiliary belt are both good.
