Drum Brakes

Featured Replies

What's the best paint and colour to paint your rear drum brakes on a 2017 Ford Focus . ☺️

There'll be as many opinions on this as there are replies.

I painted the drums on our MK2.5 with black engine lacquer on the basis it would be fairly heat-resistant and so far it's survived well over several years. I personally think black looks better on drums than red or yellow, it's not as though they're calipers.

Thanks looks good

I painted mine the same colour as the car 'moondust silver' tin of Halfords paint £6.99. Then 2k clear over.

I've use smoothrite paint before on previous cars with no ill effects.

I can add pics later.

I'd say black or even silver don't look bad. I used black engine enamel paint for my calipers and they are still holding up so would recommend that.
