Customised Sync 2

Featured Replies

I customised my Sync 2 wallpaper today.

Quite chuffed with it now, looks a lot better than the Ford logo or a blank screen now.

Anyobe else got any decent wallpapers to show?

There are thousands on the net. It's down to personal choice. I have a few dozen download on the car. Some work better than others. Don't change much to be honest.

I think it makes quite a difference. I appreciate it’s a small change but it looks a lot better than standard.

Agreed. I was saying that although I have a few options I don't often change them.

When I got my Focus over 3 years ago this was a wallpaper I put on ... v similar to the one above but all blue in various shades ... like it so much I've never thought to change it.

I had a collection of 50 or so and changed them when the whim took me.
Pity you can't do the same on Sync3, it would have been a nice touch.

Ahh, but you can Stoney! Granted, not to a personal choice of any wallpaper, but there are a set variety of themes to choose from.

Have a look in the test menu and see which you like. The only thing is you have to edit the APIM to make them permanent. Once you ignition cycle, itll revert to the original one otherwise.

The byte data for them is on the F150 doc in Luke's sync 2 upgrade sticky, and I'm getting around to continuing to decode the rest of the APIM data anyway 🙂

Already seen that info on the F150 site, found the original spreadsheet myself about 6 months ago.
Tempted to play with the colour palette but happy to keep the standard theme as the only ones that make any real decent difference to the appearance are the Lincoln ones but want to retain the ST splash screens.
Shame there aren't any modified skins that can be blended with the system.
I think Ford may have missed a trick there.
Pity.

I agree.

Yeah I didn't think that would be news to you 🙂

In the end I went for the GT theme. I would have liked to have the normal Ford splashscreen with it, but it has to be the gt one. I much prefer the ice blue theme to the standard ford one.

Tbh I find the GT theme a bit windows 3.1 but the Lincoln one is ok.
