Jim77
I have a 2008 Focus Estate. The car has three internal power points - on middle front by automatic shift between seats , one inside the centre console and one in the rear boot area of the estate car. Recently the first two simply stopped working with not power at all. The rear one works fine. I have no idea as to the source of the problem although I suspect it is a fuse problem. I have been told it could in one of the two fuse boxes, the one under the glove compartment and the other in the engine area next to the battery. Help! Am I right in assuming it is a fuse problem? If so the boot area point must be on a different fuse? If it is a fuse? where is the 12v fuse in which fuse box? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many many thanks. Ned_Mk2_1.8tdci
Check the Focus User Manual, there is a description of the fuseboxes under the hood and under the glove compartment. By memory, fuse for the front two power sockets should be under the glove compartment, rated 20 A.
MrRedman
The rear is separate I think so I pinched the fuse out of that and popped it in the holder for the front as I didn’t need power in the boot.
