2nd Hand Focus 1.6 TDCI

Featured Replies

Hi all

I am in the process of looking at a 2nd Hand Focus 1.6 TDCI (2014) with 21k on the clock. Is there any things that I should look out for ?

The car it self seems to drive well from the test drive I had.

Check the spare wheel underneath as they're prone to leaking water from the vents behind the bumper, make sure they carry out a service before you buy and make sure they replace the fuel filter while doing it, other than that it's a great car

Water leaks from boot vents and door seals.  Dodgy clutches.  Air con breaks easily.  With low mileage like that the battery and/or DPF may be in poor condition if it's only done short runs.

The engine itself is fairly reliable, but injectors are a common fault so make sure it runs and drives well.

Thanks guys. I will look over it again when i pick it up. I have 3 month  warranty with it so any issues should get resolved.
