Hello,

Would anyone explain to me what is the meaning of the clouded number on the Focus label? The car is Focus Mk2.5, 1.8tdci....

Shed some light to this puzzle please!

Cheers!

0.54 is the emissions number that they now have to enter when your car goes for the mot.

Yep, it's the maximum allowable smoke density figure.  Now used for the MOT smoke test since the new regs in May 2018.

However, either that's not your sticker or someones fitted the wrong one...a 1.8TDCi doesn't have a DPF and there's no way it'll be less than 0.54 on smoke test lol...

Should you be advertising your VIN number?  I'm not v bright about these things but I don't think I would?!  The VIN is not for a Focus.

I do hope that's not his VIN plate and was just shown as an example.

whats wrong with putting you VIN on here then ? there not hidden on your car as it`s on the front windscreen for anybody to see when walking past your car 🙈

i hope it wasnt too, as that should be a kuga and not a focus. lol

so to answer his question the circled number on the left is colour code , and as already mentioned on the right is emmisions limit

yep, that's what I found too and that wasn't by looking on ETIS.

Thank you all for the reply. Yes, label on the pic is only a catalog sample. And yes, 1.8tdci has 1.7 on the sticker. And yes, last smoke test average was 0.3 for my car.
