Where is the horn?

Featured Replies

This has been discussed before, I’ve looked through the forum but can’t find the answer. The horn is rubbish on the mk3.5 and I would like to change it, but where is it? I can’t seem to see it and I can’t find a decent wiring diagram to show me it’s whereabouts. Can anyone help with the location?

Thanks Ian, don’t suppose you know if you access it via removing the fog light do you? I’m planning to change it for a twintone effort. Got a few in mind but not sure what the space is like and I may move it anyway once I get sight of it.

no need to remove fog-light, just pop car onto ramps as if your doing an oil change and you shall see the horn 😀

I’ll have to get some ramps then [emoji6] that means removing the under tray does it? I’ve actually never been under the car so not sure of my way around it. I find it difficult to get under having broken my back twice now, was hoping I could do it without getting on my back

next time you take your car for a service and they have it up on the ramps ask the guys at your local garage if they would mind fitting your new horn onto car and how much. would be cheaper than you buying ramps just to use once (under-tray will have to be removed about 8-10 screws holding it on)

Just pop the bumper off, saves jacking up!  You can see the horns in front of the screenwash bottle here.
