Evans waterless coolant.

Featured Replies

Hi there. Please forgive me if I'm in the wrong place as I'm new to this forum business. I have just bought a 1.0 litre ecoboost focus 125 and obviously I've heard all the ecoboom stories so I'm aware of the issues. My friend suggested using evans waterless coolant instead of the regular coolant it runs on so I was wondering if anyone on here has tried this or knows anything about this. Thanks in advance.

The overheating issues were caused by a faulty hose which has since been recalled. Pretty much any ecoboost engine with that hose would've blown up after this amount of time after it overheated (usually the result of complete loss of coolant). Either that or the recall fixed the issue.
