pistolpete1
Can anyone confirm whether or not the 1.8 duratec engines in the mk 2.5 focus are driven by a chain or a belt? This engine was fitted in Mondeo's too (mk3), and they were chain driven, but for some reason I thought the Focus was belt driven. Anyone confirm for me?

pistolpete1
Brilliant....Thanks for taking the time to clarify this for me. No big cambelt bill in the near future then! 😆😆
FatHead1979
The downside is Mazda thought putting several items that will eventually wear out (PCV valve and PCV hose) inside the inlet manifold, nothing like taking most of the items at the front of the end bay out, just to replace a hose that's gone soft. I still reckon it's better than having to pay £300-350 for a new cambelt/water pump though.
