Still no map updates on sync 3

Apart from in some Russian site. What the heck is it with Ford?

Car now 1.5 years old and never had a nav update. My guess being there are even older cars on sync 3 without sign of an update either.

Not sure if other manufacturers are as bad but why sell something if you have no intention of following it up?

Guess nobody here works for Ford and is in the know or willing to admit to it.

    I just did it myself to F7

    All the files come from Ford servers, so no worry about dodgy files.

    In the Netherlands Ford announced the official SYNC 3 map update last week. A specially prepared USB drive is supplied to every official Ford dealer in the Netherlands this week or next week.

    The official map update is currently only available from an official Ford dealer. It is not available as a download. I suspect that the reason for this is because some markets (countries) offer free map updates for the SYNC 3 system while other markets may only offer the map updates as a paid service.

    The update process with the specially prepared USB drive takes about 1 Hour.

    Been on F7 since May, work a treat.

    If i go to the ford site it says no update are available.

    There are guides around for it, which provide instructions and URLs from Ford's servers for the actual map and license files
