Cruise control

Featured Replies

My ST 2 does not currently have cruise control, but I would like to add it.

I don't want to modify the existing steering wheel, but could I just add a new wheel with it already fitted?

Is yours a pre facelift of facelift  ?  ether way its is just the matter of changing the steering wheel then getting it activated with the elm adaptor and the FoCCCus software

FoCCCus doesn't work with the facelift models...you'd have to ask someone with IDS to do it, but even then I'm not sure if they still can since the dealer access has been restricted.

If it's pre facelift then it's much easier!

Funny i used it on a 2015 focus and it worked fine 🙂 i know you cant on the later 16-17 plate as I've tried that too

Have you activated cruise on a 15 plate with it?  The program itself still works but is very limited in what you can actually do.

Yes i also enabled auto locking it was a dec 2014 build first of the facelift's  but on a 15 plate

Very early MK3.5 versions did have almost the same hardware as the late MK3 versions. The FoCCCus program was further developed to support these vehicles by some enthusiasts (not the original author). However after a short time Ford changed hardwase and protection. Unfortunately the FoCCCus program was never further developed to also support these MK3.5 versions.

Very early MK3.5 versions are supported, late MK3.5 are not supported and everything in between is basically hit or miss.

would FORscan not allow you to enable cruise?

I guess JW1982's post explains why there are still extras turning up in later versions of FORscan

like latest release notes saying

+ Service function "Calibrate Cruise Control Sensors" for CCM module of: *Focus Mk3.5 (EU) 2015 model year

* fixes and improvements in Output Control function - inability to write to RCM Focus Mk3/3.5 (EU)

whilst May got a fix for - cluster panic on Focus Mk3.5 because of wrong addressing the TCU module

How do i determine if mine is a face-lift version?

The front ends look very different.  Pre facelift -

Facelift -

But from the above posts it looks like a 2014 facelift may still work with FoCCCus.
