obd diagnostic reader/scanner

hi there im in need of a fault code scanner/ reader for my focus as im not paying the prices ford r asking when i can buy one.

i have one at mo but not picking codes up that ford can

can anyone recommend a good one that does'nt cost the world



Get a modified ELM cable and download Forscan.

can't beat that but you will need your laptop connected up, it's not a handheld reader. Forscan is much more than I diagnostic tool anyway, it's free to download and use. The cable will be around £15-20, a lot of people recommend 'tunnelrat' for a modified cable. I got mine from eBay and it's been fine.

There is also Torque Pro and a bluetooth obd which can run from a smartphone or tablet if necessary.
