Hi guys,

Rough cost of a clutch on a 1.6 standard petrol at an independent - any ideas?  Asking for a friend.

    £300-£400? At a guess. All depends what their hourly rate is. 

    When I do those engines with ib5 gearbox I replace driveshaft seals and fresh oil too.

    Cheers Stef.  How important/necessary are the driveshaft seals to do at the same time?

    Not strictly necessary but I like to do them to keep myself right as I don’t want the car coming back for an oil leak.

    the seals cost about £10
