Ford Focus Navigation Problems

Featured Replies

I'm new to the Forum so apologies if I'm in the wrong place.

I have a 2017 Ford Focus Zetec with the Sync 3 Navigation.  Every time I go anywhere using the navigation it seems to take me on a scenic route, down back alleys and country roads.  Last week I went to Minehead from Swansea which on a normal map would be M4, M5 and then into Somerset but the navigation wanted to to take me through the centre of Newport and around A and B roads that would have added over an hour to my travel time.

I've checked the settings but seem to be at a loss.  Can anyone suggest or help what I need to do?

Select quickest route when starting navigation.
If you use shortest or eco then you get all A & B roads.
Also set eco penalty to minimum in the nav settings menu.
