Reverse camera help!

Featured Replies

Hi all I just had  my aftermarket rear view camera fitted today at my local shop and while the picture is clear and works as it should the picture comes out black and white?

Is there any reason why this has done this and is it an easy fix?

So it turns out the camera is PAL and not NYSC for the oem screen.

Does anyone know where to buy a converter of some sorts?

Try the UK company called Connects2

I've featured in there first issue of there magazine with my focus; I've also fitted many of there items such as 1.0 fared capacitor 8 port RCA cable andd one of there cameras in my mk2.5

If they don't do a camera for the mk3 then I'm sure they do an aftermarket conversion kit or a ntsc to pal converter

Thanks for the link Lenny. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

You can pick up cheap NTSC to Pal converts off ebay so dont go spending a fortune on one, just mind what you do though, these things are typically designed for in house so it might require some jiggery pokery to wire in ideally it would be a 12v device in which case with the aid of an inline fuse you could just wire it straight in to the 12v feed powering the camera.

Yeah I've seen the ones on eBay and like you say there all for the house.

Ive just found a ntsc camera for the mk3 from china so hopefully I'll buy that in a couple of weeks and see how that goes.
