is that mileage accurate? how can such a low mileage car be so badly trashed. good look with the rescue. any ideas how much it will cost to fix and what the resale value will be

Yes it is accurate mileage... it is owned by a family member who has owned it from new. Cosmetically it can be restored without to much outlay, just elbow grease. The other jobs a bit more involved and expensive but doable especially the abs module. I'm yet to put an accurate figure on it but hopefully £300- 400.  Final value £1500 - £2000 as a guess....as against about £200 now as is.

Will be interesting to see the progress. If that was my car I'd start with the rear corner with that scrape. See if cutting polish might take it off if it's paint transfer. If not probably best to get a second hand rear quarter. Get new or second hand door pillars. Touch up paint will be useful on the roof and some deep scratches. A machine polish will then set the car off. I'd probably say the car might be worth more than £2000 if it looks well presented as if it was cared for. Luckily it doesn't look to be any dents. My zetec s has about 5 pin dents on it which kind of ruin the look. Sometimes I think to myself what careless person made that.
